Disney followed up its smash hit ALADDIN with two direct to video sequels, THE RETURN OF JAFAR and ALADDIN AND THE KING OF THIEVES, which are collected together here. In THE RETURN OF JAFAR, the villainous thief Abis Mal seeks out Aladdin's nemesis Jafar, who is now trapped in a genie's lamp, in order to get revenge on Aladdin and his friends. In ALADDIN AND THE KING OF THIEVES, Aladdin and Princess Jasmine's long-delayed wedding day has finally arrived, only to be interrupted by the forty thieves. When Aladdin and his pal the Genie seek to stop the chaos created by the thieves, it is revealed that they may know the secret of what became of Aladdin's father. The second ALADDIN movie marked the first time Disney produced a sequel to one of their animated hits, and both films retain the studio's unique character animations and musical numbers.
